the best part about failure

I love failures. My life is full of it, so I kinda have to.

The best part about failures is that you can start again. Nothing better than starting over, right? Starting over with more knowledge, wisdom or strength or resilience… ultimately, failures will do you good. After the failing part of it, of course.

Maybe this is why I keep coming back to this blog. While I feel that I’ve failed at blogging many times now, I keep coming back to it… and it teaches me something new every time I start over. And I’m inspired to do new things every time. I might make some changes here and there, but I just keep writing. And I love it.

There may be something we can learn here from nature. Would nature ever stop going after it fails?

We saw this tree a while back in the forest… it looks like it’s been starting over again and again, turning into this majestic statue because of it. And when you think about it, kids too (being the kind of people probably closest to nature) hardly ever have trouble starting over after failure. They fall down, they get back up again. They don’t have the mental story yet to tell them they might fail, they might not be good enough, the might be laughed at.

I love that about my kids. Who am I actually to be raising them… I’d be better off if they would try to teach me about life instead of the other way around.

Having said that, I think today is a great day for a little hike.

Have a wonderful day!

Thanks…you have no idea how much I needed to hear and remember that each failure is a lesson learnt, so I can stop sobbing, cut my losses and start over again as I did many times before. Eventhough it gets a bit harder aging ;)
